Oracle Opens Up BI Suite

Oracle Corp has launched a version of its Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition 10g software that eases integration with non-Oracle environments and adds usability features intended to make BI more pervasive across the enterprise.
Behind the mouthful of branding and the 200-plus new bells and whistles that Oracle touts with its new Release 3 platform, the overriding theme is basically to open up BI Suite EE's back-end to non-Oracle applications.
Oracle BI Suite EE was first announced in March 2006 as part of a strategy by Oracle to pull together various BI technologies from Siebel Systems, Oracle and PeopleSoft. The product is built on a centerpiece of Siebel Analytics technology that is now called Oracle BI Server.
